WHO WE ARE
Youth Empowerment and Crime Prevention (YECP)

OUR ORIGINS
Youth Empowerment and Crime Prevention (YECP) is a grassroots organisation based in Bristol, created to tackle the root causes of youth crime, gang involvement, and exploitation—particularly among Black and racially minoritised communities. Founded by passionate community members who have lived experience of the issues we address, our goal is to break the cycle of violence, discrimination, and marginalisation through mentoring, education, and support.
OUR COMMITMENT
At Youth Empowerment and Crime Prevention (YECP), we are dedicated to providing comprehensive support and guidance to young individuals, empowering them to make positive choices and build a better future. Our programs and initiatives are designed to address the unique challenges faced by our youth, fostering personal development and creating opportunities for success.

OUR MISSION
Message From Our CEO
At Youth Empowerment and Crime Prevention (YECP), our journey began from a place of deep care and urgency. We saw too many young people especially from Black and racially minoritised communities—being failed by the system, misunderstood, or pushed toward paths that limit their potential. We knew something had to change. That’s why we started YECP to give young people hope, support, and real opportunities to thrive.
Our work is rooted in lived experience and compassion. We’re here to listen, guide, and walk alongside young people as they find their voice, their path, and their power. Whether it's through workshops, one-to-one mentoring, school outreach, or life skills training, everything we do is about prevention, empowerment, and building brighter futures.
We believe in early intervention, community connection, and the strength of young people when given the right tools and support. We’re proud of what we’ve built so far, and we’re even more excited about what’s to come.
Thank you for visiting our website. Whether you’re a young person looking for support, a parent, a partner, or a potential volunteer you’re welcome here. Together, we can build safer, stronger, and more inclusive communities for everyone.
